AWKWORD'S 100% for-charity global Hip Hop album 'World View', released in 2014 by DJBooth, was featured by Complex, MTV, Village Voice, The Grio, The Fader, Prefix Mag, Urb, XXL, The Source, Vibe, Hot 97, Ego Trip ,and Okay Player. "Bars & Hooks", produced by Harry Fraud and featuring Sean Price and The Kid Daytona, has amassed more than a million views on YouTube alone; the first song on the album, "Gas Land" (about fracking), produced by Numonics and featuring Chaundon, reached the #1 spot on the college radio Hip Hop charts.
AWKWORD’s new album, an awkword shadow, a collaborative EP with producer The White Shadow of Norway, drops February 17, 2026, on the 12-year anniversary of World View!
Since 2014, AWKWORD has focused primarily on abolitionist and anti-fascist organizing, dropping guest verses and releasing his own music sporadically:
